Default Has my cambelt been changed?

I've bought a lovely 2.5T S60 done 112k with full volvo history. Now i know on the last service the cambelt was due to be done but when i rang pilling volvo hemel hempsted they said they had no record of it being done. There is a silver sticker in engine bay near cambelt that says Exchange and it has a date a few months ago and states a mileage of around 100k.Does this mean it was done do you know? cause i really dont want to risk driving if it hasn't!! i've read posts of cambelt failure and volvo asking for 5 grand to replace the engine

The silver sticker should indicate that the cam belt was changed, on mine it is a genuine volvo sticker and has a picture representing the cambelt, I think.

You had the 96k service done at main dealer then?

What price, just out of curiosity?

You might want to check the stamped service record to see that that shows.

If it has the stamp and documents for the service, which include the cam belt change, you should phone the dealer that carried out the service and ask that they update the Volvo service record as it is incorrect.
