FOB in relation to technology and indeed particularly in the way we use it to describe our Key Remotes actually stands for 'Frequency Operated Button' and is also used to describe a security token. As we press the Button on our remotes it is operated on a Frequency and it in turn Operates the required device/devices (i.e it unlocks the door, doors, windows, starts the car etc...). Re: Turbo
Hey Sony,
Couldn't PM you for some reason ?! Sorry for jumping on this thread but...thanks a million for getting back to me. I've been metal busy in work the last few days with everyone finishing up for the holidays and all. Anyway, I'm bringing it into the garage this morning so hopefully they'll find something. What's strange is I've been driving to and from work (50 miles per trip) on the motorway and I haven't see the same problem since ! I wonder if it's just a once off or if S40's are known to play up like this from time to time. Cheers, |

Open all windows and sunroof in the pouring rain
I suppose the function for opening all windows and sunroof using the key fob would be useful if I lived in the heat of Texas but here in Vancouver, Canada I discovered this function yesterday and accidentally opened everything in the pouring rain. I don't know how long they were open, I was working under the kitchen sink fixing some plumbing and had my keys in my pocket. When I got to my 2021 CX 40, I found the interior was soaked. I spoke to Volvo On-Call, they were unaware of a way to lock out this function. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this accidentally happening?
