I can't stop seeing it
This is something that annoys me on a daily basis because once I noticed it I keep seeing it a shaking my head.
I apologise to you if you haven't seen it before but now you will. I'm talking about the passenger side wiper placement. At it's resting position it sticks out into the visable screen area and just sits there taunting me. I don't think I have OCD and I know there are more things in the world to worry about but would it really be too much to ask Volvo to park it under the bonnet edge the same as the other wiper? Has anyone tried experimenting with a shorter blade or anything else to correct this? This is what I'm talking about |

Could it be a combination of wrong length and subsequent moving the arm up a spline or two because it wouldn't fit ?

Sadly not, that's not my car, just a photo off t'interweb, they are all like that. On later models they seem to have put a recess in the screen trim to allow it to sit further down.
I've moved it on the splines as low as it'll go without catching the trim but it can still be seen from inside the car. |

My new XC90 is the same, even though they say the wipers are hidden below the bonnet line, the passenger side is above it and noticable from outside.

It might be a touch of OCD but surely they could have made it look tidier. Maybe it's my engineering background but I notice things like that and it annoys me when with so little effort they could have designed it to look so much better. It just looks wrong.
