If it wasn't for 2 factors, it would be V90XC
But with that price tag And messed up tailgate (sloping? Really? About as practical as custard in wellingtons) As it is it has to he XC70 Most of XC range is too high for me, I don't like tall cars. I do think that 4x4 is useful though. So, good load lugger, 4x4, low, flat like a squashed tank.. XC70. |

Ditto Ted - they don't list my favourite, my injection 164E. Four plus overdrive gearbox, power steering and sedately-high - not laying on the floor as if a sportscar. I've had this car since last century: my folks could get into it easily, it is comfortable and spacious. I don't do fuel economy (if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen), nil depreciation and of course NO PLASTIC! What else does one need?

Now I have my Favourite Current Volvo... My choice for the future has been upgraded. I saw a red new V90 Estate today in Bham and maaaaaan it looks good.

V60 CC, has a very good write up and is recommended over the V90 CC.
Otherwise an XC70 or V70......brilliant allrounders imho particularly the D5 (practical, relatively cheap to run, economical, comfortable and stylish!) |
