It had a nice bit of product placement in the latest Jurassic Park film. I thought it looked nice but was not sure of the model. It is a car that Mercedes have not had and they have missed sales when all their competitors have been filling their boots. The ipad style display looks stuck on rather than part of the display but other than that it looks very nice. One other worry would be the small windows. A key selling point for these cars is the feeling of being light airy and those windows look a little small and claustrophobic. May be different in reality.

If we are looking at the same car, the windows don't look any smaller than the xc60 to my eyes. The inside also looks much better than any merc that I looked at before deciding on the Volvo.

On some pictures the windows look quite small, somewhere between an Xc60 and an Evoke, and on others they look normal. Perhaps some are on sporty models or maybe my eyes and brain are not working together very well.

Interior basically lifted from the new C class merc. Have to say car does look nice. Depending on interior space it could by the XC60s toughest competitor to date.

Angry Which IPODS

Quick question about which flavours of ipods work with the Volvo entertainment system if (like me) you haven't got the Nav/Sensus whatever it's called system.

I have an old Ipod Nano which works just fine but that may be requisitioned and certainly will be for the next few weeks for more "urgent" needs. My daughter has an old iPod touch but I'm fairly sure that doesn't work via a USB cable....although I guess it would probably work via Bluetooth but maybe not as controllable that way. Thinking of looking for an old classic with hard disk as that would give me all the storage I need but want to make sure it works.

Thoughts?

...next question how do I move this to a new thread, tricky stuff this posting clearly

I would start a new thread with an appropriate title. That way people who know the answer will see the title and know to respond. At the moment they may not look at this thread so will not respond. I can't answer your question by the way, sorry.

It certainly gives the new 2018 (?) XC60 something good to aim at.

I saw a GLA today which I presume is just the diddier version.
It looked squashed, as if a massive hand had pushed down on the roof in the same way you would with a chip butty.
