s40 alarm siren

Greetings fellow s40 owners, i hope someone out there can assist me?
My alarm on my 1997 2.0s40 had a hissey fit a few weeks ago (3am on a thursday ) and would not turn off using the remote. Had to disconnect the siren and lock with the key because of this fault.
Anyway in my local scrappy is a 97 model 440 auto with a factory fit alarm, what i want to know would the sirens be interchangable. They have the same style multi connector and are the same shape and size, part numbers appear to be the only difference that i can see. Can anybody help me at all?

Took a chance and got the 440 siren off and is now fitted and working on my s40.

Volvo s40 mk1 to 2000 siren alarm modul would be replace from CHRYSLER PT CRUISER 00-10 (ALARM SIREN HORN SECURITY ANTI THEFT P05107068AA) /eBay 25£. They are same.
