Ok yes my central locking does work I think the only problem I have now is that my sidelights do not work at all. I have checked fuses and swapped out the actual light switch so far too no avail.

Any ideas anyone.......

The only way pre MY2000 cars can turn the lights of is to cut some wires behind the switch(im not sure on which ones). Why do you want them off anyway? I have the DRLs turned on on my Audi and will on the BMW when it turns up. Its a great feature for people to notice you coming.

To disable them on pre 2000 cars you have to dismantle the switch and remove the piece of 'tin' which joins the 2 sides together or just cut it....really not worth doing mate.
they add something to the car and people always tell you your lights are on....muppets lol
