1997 s40 Part id?
While replacing the dreaded "Air Pump" on my S40, I noticed this part which was breaking up due to age/etc on one of the pipe connections.
1. can anybody put a to the name of it? 2. Any clue as to cost of replacement part and where to find one? 3. Silly question I know, but is it important? Cheers.

Forgot to say, but the item is under a black cowling at the back of the engine bay, at the top, near the bulkhead. If that helps any????

What system was it for? Climate control etc |

The Emission Control "Air Pump". It runs for 2 min after start up to help with exhaust emissions.
The mystery part is hidden under the engine management cover, and is connected to one of the Air Pumps rubber hoses. Hope that helps?
