Laminated windows are good for security. I have them on the xc70 and never worry about someone doing a smash and grab when I am parked up.

I was offered a pre-configured car, so couldn't choose many options (I added tinted glass to the side and rear but the car already had 20" diamond cut alloys, Winter Pack, Apple Car Play, Family Pack on it)
Winter pack is essential for me. The heated windscreen is superb and I don't think I've yet turned off the heated steering wheel!!!! Love it. The 3-pin plug came as part of Apple Car Play (which I have no use for) and I have found this to be really useful. I have been using the Tune-In Radio app a lot for a certain radio station that I love which is internet only. If I could add something it would have been the pre-heater and the B&W system would be very tempting........but I haven't given it a proper demo so nothing to compare against the standard sound system. Would love to hear thoughts on the panoramic sunroof....

I have them for that reason - it's not the case. I can still hear other cars when on the motorway (xc90 itself has little wind noise) and most noise is coming through the floor from tyres so no real benefit noise insulating the windows. I think the option is not worth ticking.
