When we both get the cars we will have to park them next to each other and photo them! Mine is blue too, but not the Bursting variety.

I have been frequently visiting the my Volvo page due to my impatience.
My order was placed in September. I feel the iron ore to be used in building my car has not been mined yet! I have noticed the the pick up date swings about, one week it will say week commencing 14/4/16 and them it changes to 25/4/16 ,and swings back to 14/4/16. Has anyone else noticed this? My Volvo is hopeless...see thread on build, shipping and delivery timings. The dates jump around all the time and even when mine was in production and waiting dockside it didn't tell me it was in production or awaiting shipping. Seems to be a lag of at least a week and when it tells you it's in production it's likely it's already been built. For those of you who got slots at end of last year, these were dealer allocated slots earmarked early-on where they had to go firm on spec at a later date. The earlier point I was trying to make is that I understand there are no more T8 MY16 slots available, unless someone bails from their existing order, which is bound to happen, so Mezza could get lucky if his lease company is willing to do the legwork. I have a friend who ordered long before I did and should have had his T8 Inscription via a dealer lease last Nov. His date slips on a monthly basis, but he now appears to be getting his on 1 March like me...he buys lots of cars for his company via dealer and his wife has a D5 so not a customer likely to be messed around...so go figure. Similarly, I also buy a lot of volvos from my dealer for the business and mine is coming when they said it would. It's my first car with Volvo. I'm coming from a FF Range Rover and previous daily drivers have been RS6s, M5s, 911s...so suffice to say this has been an "interesting" experience compared with those of the other "luxury" marques ive experienced. We'll see if the tax break is worth the other hassles and whether the T8 delivers. I'll be better off by £1300 a month so fingers crossed I like it, and it and the dealer don't drive me bananas. PF |

I haven't had a lot to do with JLR or Porsche, but had awful experiences with Audi dealer(s), BMW dealer and also Mercedes who were truly terrible at even trying get me a test drive and to sell me an E-Class never mind after sales. Mind you I also had pretty p155 poor aftersales from Volvo Grimsby so took my business to another local Volvo dealer who I am very happy with. Interestingly the Volvo dealer I am happy with is part of a very small group of about 3 garages and a supplies a couple of brands. They seem to be switched on and actually care - which is good. All my bad experiences have been with dealers who are part of a large group such as JCT600 and Stoneacre. I guess in the end it is the dealer not the brand which determines your main experience.

You're correct, and really about relationships as most things are. Most dealers are useless frankly, and need encouragement to do the right thing or even do anything. I find that unless I'm on top of them literally riding them, and the various issues, nothing happens with any of them; however the cars have been good, so I guess I'm more concerned about the T8 being reliable and doing what it should do having read this forum and swedespeed. My FF RR has been a joy, no issues in 50k of hard miles over three years, dealer useless, but tries to give the love. Audi dealers mostly useless, but the product very good as were my M cars. Porsche mostly good, but I give the London ones a wide berth, only use them for the service stamp and have the real work done by specialists. When ordering the T8 I was frustrated that I couldn't have anything but black leather and headliner in an RDesign and that I couldn't have a heated/flappy paddle sterling wheel...only one or other. Volvo may think they can move into this price category and not change, but those of us used to spending 75-90k on a car expect to be able to have the colour leather and headliner we want; and it's bollocks that a wiring loom can't do heat and flappy paddles, which was one of lines fed to me. Just annoying really and shows they don't know the target market they've aimed at. With advances in supply chain management, and seeing what JLR has done with colours, roof colours, leather, headliners and contrast colours combos, anything is possible at this price point. Sorry for the minor rant... I am genuinely excited about T8 delivery on 1 March...and picking up a lot of good info and tips on the forums. Pod-point being installed at home next week and had a socket put into my parking bay at work. Cheers PF |

Definitely, just need to find a local momentum to join the lineup! Saw a grey one earlier a mile up the road, only the 4th new XC90 I've seen on the road!

Audi manage to offer a very wide range of colour options, and I'm sure some other manufacturers with cars at this price range do too. Cheaper models from some manufacturers have a greater choice of colours than the top of the range XC90. |

Currently, Volvo are a bit like going to a Michelin-starred restaurant, and being served with plastic plates and cutlery. |
