alcookie Member Last Online: Aug 1st, 2011 18:59 Join Date: Dec 2002 Location: Derbyshire/Nott's	Gutless V70 auto Hi all I have a 2001 V70 2.4 140bhp auto with 84000 on the clock & I find the car very underpowered especially mid range grunt,ie 55mph-70mph.I have just returned from a trip to Durham and on the flat it will accelerate up to 80 / 90 but nothing sparkling for a 5 cylinder 2.4 lump, Typical scenario in 3rd lane overtaking, traffic slows & travelling up a slight incline, Traffic picks up speed again & the V70 struggles to accelerate with the flow of other cars and vehicles behind pushing you & cars in number 2 lane undertaking you. Solution if you can call it that is to floor it then it drops a gear or two and the engine screams up to the red line, not really relaxed driving!Theres more pull in the wife’s 1200 geartronic corsa,your thoughts / comments most welcome.
