I absolutely steered clear of the EFI version of the 240 when buying my two vehicles as a friend of mine replaced the 'black box' twice on his one owner car at around $1000AUD each time. I agree wholeheartedly with the previous posters, they are a very basic system that isn't plagued by electronic gremlins and is very reliable. I've replaced both sets of 'O' rings on my injectors a number of times as this appears to have a significant effect on idling etc particularly the thinner ones...

I swore so much when an old hand at these told me why my beautiful engine had 'lost the plot'. Moral of this story: If you've got K-Jetronic and it's running like a bag of spanners, change the injector o-rings... They're possibly the most important part of the system.
