'Sensibly priced' V70R...
I have just spotted this on eBay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stunning-...frcectupt=true I think this is a fair price (first job would be to remove the dump-valve!!!) - I get fed up of seeing these cars at +£10k which I think is ludicrous. Ok, I might be a tight git, or out of touch, but I don't care - these cars are NOT worth £10k in my opinion. Just saying!! |

A black 'leather look' steering wheel cover would deal with that . The nice XC70 bumper with the grey trim would bug me alongside the colour coded trim on the rest of the car.
But it's hypothetical as I can't see myself spending that much compared to the price of a basic V70. - we all like different things

Roderick, I don't think you're a tight git or out of touch.
I think these cars are way out of touch for the likes of me now, but if people are willing to pay, sellers will carry on pricing them accordingly. I've always wanted a V70 T5 auto, but as soon as they're advertised, they're either snapped up immediately, or the bidding goes up like a Saturn 5 rocket. My chances of owning one are getting slimmer and slimmer. |

You are not a tight git / stupid If you waste time as I sometimes do, The £7,8,9,10 and upwards priced R's ( usually imported from Japan ) are still advertised for sale 6 and often 12 months later post original point of sale Seemingly some of the outside world is not stupid either and is well aware of the time commitment / spend these gorgeous motas command For the past 3 years or so the phrase " guaranteed investment " or similar bollocks is usually included in the particulars. Laughable ! |

A couple of weeks ago I saw a nothing special phase 1 V70 on ebay.
The asking price.....£6995 I don't know if this link will work, as the listing has ended. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Volv...sAAOSw851cWYBO Last edited by Tetleysmooth; Mar 7th, 2019 at 08:17. Reason: Addition. |

The car may well be overpriced but, and its a big but, take your £7k along to buy a near new car and what will you end up with ? This ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-500-...8AAOSwL-1cPgu6 As a mode of transportation which is the better car, considering safety, comfort, equipment, carrying capacity etc etc.......? |
