  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default Tailgate..

My tailgate will not catch shut so tailgate is not secure, the bottom catch hasnt moved and doesnt adjust.

Unblot it and experiment with it, you will figure it out.

Tried all sorts but it just wont catch.. the latch in tailgate doesnt seem to be catching the latch.

It should snap closed on its own. Probably something worn, and locking mechanism not fully disengaging or a little sticky. I replaced one in my sisters car for that.

It comes out pretty easy, but you might need to remove the door card which may lead to broken bits.

Mine sticks occasionally, I find if you leave it open and lock/unlock the car several times from the driver’s door it frees it up.

I can't see the video as I'm posting from a bus in Portugal, but with the tailgate open does the mechanism latch if you move it by hand? (Keeping the tailgate open)

Check the release handle in the tailgate! Had this on mine when i first got it, the handle no longer springs back down because the springs go weak and/or break. You can push the handle down by hand easily enough then retry it.
