Well, I took your advice and did it! I am now the proud owner of a 2016 XC60 D4(190) Geartronic. (All I need to work out now is how to change my signature )

Next up is 'what can I add?' The one thing I will miss from my V40 is the Speed Limiter - I used it all the time in preference to the cruise control, as it handled traffic better. Can it be retro-fitted beside the cruise button? I also would like a reversing camera, but that is definitely an aftermarket choice (although where to site the display - as well as the satnav - will be a major headache; I am seriously thinking of planting it in front of the underused central info display).

Well done!

I would definitely recommend Polestar. Yours will go to 220bhp and include the geartronic remap. If you sign up for a My Volvo account, you can keep an eye out for offers on it and other stuff for your car. I got Polestar when it had £200 off. Still expensive for the time they spend on your car but it does enhance the experience.

To my surprise and disappointment, my V60 didn't come with a reversing camera. However I recently had a new V40 courtesy car for a week which did... I found it practically useless, mostly because the actual camera rapidly became obscured by spray and road dirt. So now I don't mind mine now having one!

Fair comment. I too tried one in a courtesy car but not long enough to get it dirty! Would just have to get into the habit of a wee wipe each morning.
However I use centre and wing mirrors to reverse and am concerned about the blind spot below the higher tailgate, particularly in supermarket car parks
