Haha, you would think but I've been doing it for about 15 years (albeit it used to be a fiver, then a tenner...here's hoping it doesn't need to move to fifty any time soon) and it's never gone missing.

Interestingly, the only time it has been commented upon was when I had my 5-series and, upon returning the car to me, the service manager asked "do you realise you've a £20 note in your sun visor...?"

To clean white stitching:

Do you have a car interior cleaner, such as Autoglym Interior Shampoo?
Basically you need a gentle detergent (so NOT dishwasher detergent used neat!)

Apply A LITTLE cleaner to a small sponge. Don't apply the cleaner to the seat / armrest / steering wheel / trim as this can over wet and soak the item.

WIPE (don't rub) along the stitching. Rubbing across cab fray the stitching. Go with the line of the stitching.
Don't wipe to hard. If you need to do more than one gentle application it's better than going to rough.

Wipe away the detergent with a damp (again don't over wet the trim) cloth or sponge - going along the stitching, not across it

Allow to dry

I find I'm regularly doing this on steering wheel, gear shifter and arm rest - the places that get oil from the skin the most

There are YouTube videos you can view on doing this too

Love the design, I used to have one in my 1st Generation XC60 but as yet I cannot find anyone selling a version for RHD models of the 2nd Generation models............unless someone has started during 2019?

While on the subject of cleaning, how do you guys clean the piano black trim of dust and greasy fingers? The cleaning itself is easy, but cleaning without actually 'damaging' the trim is almost impossible. Just wipe it with a cloth, and you see new micro scratches. I have a small spot near the gear selector, where i rubbed my thumb a few times, to remove a drop of something (coffee, soda or whatever), and the spot now looks like I used a piece of sand paper. I'm aware that you can actually polish the piano trim back to being nice, but is not something i want to do often.

Try using a smart phone cleaning liquid - it will leave no smears, etc behind.
