Default 245 rear shock recommendations?

Our old estate has uprated rear springs and standard non nivomat shocks.
It pogoes on the 3rd world quality roads we have in this part of the world.
New shocks obviously needed.
Im thinking about Classic Swede adjustables to match the springs, but are any other decent alternatives available?
Its road driven , often laden and with a 2.3 turbo engine.
Thanks,
Jim

I'm familiar with Norfolk's narrow potholed roads -- I used to live in East Bilney. I would suggest going for decent quality without too much firmness, perhaps Bilstein B4. On a tighter budget KYB Excel_G have been good on my 240s.

Go you steady.

If it's often laden, i'd suggest uprating the rear springs to heavy duty with either of the two dampers recommended by our ex-pat friend. Even standard KYB gas dampers will work very well or if the budget is so tight it squeaks, KYB oil dampers. All dampers have oil in them, the gas provides a slightly sharper, more comfortable and slightly quicker response, probably wouldn't notice the difference unless you were really hoofing it round the back droves.
