ECU replacements
I'm looking for an ECU for my 1992 240 2.4l. Bosch 0280000572
Rockauto lists a number of different units that are supposed to be "plug and play" replacements. Are there any other known products that will work as a replacement? Failing that, is there any quality source for rebuilt units? |

Are you sure you need a new ECU? On these LH2.4 cars problems are more likely to be the sensors (or their wiring) relaying information to the ECU. Have you tested the ECU itself?

Thanks for revealing that bit of information. Thinking you were in urgent need of a spare to keep your car on the road I was on the point of going out to the garage to check my stock of parts. Now I know you just want to build up your stockpile I think I'll keep it in my own. |

You can have yours tested, repaired and guaranteed for life from : https://www.atpelectronics.co.uk/ On the upside, you have one of the more reliable ECUs so less likely to be a problem.

572 should be LH3.1 (not normally found on UK cars)
Do you have the 3.1 air flow meter? |

Looks like problems are common with this ECU
What numbers are Rock Auto coming up with? |
