turn steering try start again

Well after feeling rather pleased on Thursday with a MOT pass with no advisories, yesterday had one of Volvo's dreaded error messages.

I was visiting my brother at the time and on leaving got the error message and had to call the RAC out to help. Although he was unable to fix the problem he managed to get me going by connecting a cable from battery to the starter.

Spent a lot of time online trying to find a resolution and found many mentions of the problem but very few that had the correct solution.

Well I found it quite a simple fix and spent more time trying to get the trim panels back together then fixing the problem. Still I should be grateful it didn't cost me between £350 and £450 that many others have paid out at the stealers. This makes the 4th issue i've had in the last 12 months so i'm losing confidence in it, maybe time to let go.

I have got no clue what the issue was and even less of an idea as to the fix
