Default T5 Cambelt Change

Anyone had there's done yet? the book says 100K miles or 10 years so I don't suppose many S40/V50's have got near the time yet.

I'm starting to think about getting it done early at 53k miles and 7 years.

Will also get the water pump and Aux belt changed - anything else??

Mines at 74k and 7 years old I think I'll bottle the 100K and get it done around 80K or in December with the MOT which ever comes first, probably Dec as I don't do that many miles......

My V50 T5 is on 132,000 and belt was changed on the button at 108,000 - no problems.

The changing of the belt at 108,000 will have a safety margin already built in, the belt is probably good for 150,000+ . Some other S40/V50/C30 engines are change at 144,000.

I plan on changing it at 10yrs or 108k as per the recommendation. Hopefully it works out OK.

It's a big old belt (very wide) so that's probably how it lasts so long.

I might bottle it and get it done at 8 years.....
