Default Turbo Pipe Work avalibiltiy

Hi,, this is a sort of follow up to another post (surging power). I've decided to replace the turbo pipe work on my D5 (163) as I think that would be the first step. They have done 170,000 miles so they are probaly due for replacment.

Does anybody know of anyone other than Volvo where I can get such pipes from. Volvo charge a fortune for them, so if anyone has experience of aftermarket items that would be very usefull.

Cheers
Scot

I have no experience with aftermarket turbo pipes but there are loads of suppliers of those blue coloured pipes such as volvopartsonline although I dont know how good they are compared to the originals but willing to bet they cost less , you could get advice from someone like Allard who know a lot about turbos and intercoolers although they may not be able to supply the pipes for a Volvo they will certainly point you in the right direction .

I am about to take the pipes and intercooler off my V70 D5 at 127k miles and check them all for splits perishing and clean them out or renew them so am interested in anyone elses experience doing the same thing but in my case I would rather not spend any money renewing the pipes unless I can see a definite problem . I have an ongoing problem with power loss when you try to accelerate the engine goes into limp mode and its reached a critical stage where it now happens with the slightest acceleration so need to fix it .
