Default Indicators going mad but bulbs ok

Getting a message up saying LEFT TURN SIGNAL BULB FAILURE but they are all working fine, they started flashing really fast to begin with.

Last time I had something similar was an alternator failing and affecting the indicator relay.

Any ideas?

Can be a bulb on it's way out or a loose connection (wobbly).

Check the bulbs and see if they are going black or are sitting loose.

Thanks, I did check the bulb holders and bent the centre contact up for a better connection also sprayed some WD40 in there.

They are behaving again now, the only thing that's changed is the weather! it was hot (27deg C) yesterday - maybe the connections expanded a little and gave a bad connection.
