Dice Help ..
I took the plunge and bought a Dice off ebay.
I have Vida running and installed on a Win7 pro laptop and using ie8. Vida appears to be working fine except I am unable to get Vida to see the Dice , I have tried re-installing Vida , but when I run Vida I just get a box with a red X in it rather than the dice connection box. The Dice driver shows up in windows device manager , When I run Dice diagnostics I can connect to Dice and it passes all the diagnostic tests except the Interface test. Has anyone had the same problem ? |

Clean install is the only way I know how to solve this.
VMWare might help you out...... This is why I specifically recommend only installing VIDA onto a clean install of windows - as this is they way Volvo intended for it to be installed at the dealers. It could be 1 of 1000 things that is causing it

Check to see if you have .net 4 and .net 4.5 installed. If you do then remove these, reboot and try again. Also worth re-installing java.

Got my DICE today and have been trying to get it to talk with the car. Got the same problem as in your first pic but with the 2nd pic instead of a red X, I got an error saying can't communicate with a few possible causes listed.
I followed Sony's advice, well not the first part, but his advise with Java. I checked and my IE8 did not have Java. Installed the newest version and now the DICE is working splendidly with my XC90.
