Question Exporting car to France

This may be a long shot but I'm going to give it a go..

Sometime back I remember someone on the forum moving to France and exporting his car there. If he picks up on this thread or someone knows of him, or has knowledge of the procedure please reply, I'll be extremely grateful.

Because of the Brexit thing I've got to declare residency in France by 30th-June this year as I've a house there that I call home. I'm in YUK at the moment, but unfortunately after years of trouble free going backward and forward the next time I arrive on French soil I'll be under the beady eyes of French Customs.

One of my particular areas of concern is needing a so called Certificate of Conformity, and considering my car is of 1998 vintage I'm thinking that might be a little difficult to get hold of.

Anyway.. many thanks in anticipation..

Dave..

You need to buy the CoC from Volvo (avoid unofficial websites like volvo-coc, cocvolvo... ), it's 150€.

Download the pdf under "Procédure d'importation"

Thanks guys, that's much appreciated. The amount of information on this is mind boggling, and that's before you start dealing with French bureaucracy. Makes my head hurt.. ha ha!
