Silencing SatNav Voice

A regular route that I travel is from Ijmuiden in the Netherlands to Livange in Luxemborg and the preferred route is the A2, approximately 280 miles.
This route takes one via Liege in Belgium, which I wish to avoid.
What I have done is put Liege as a Stored Location and when I selected Ijmuiden to Livange, I then go to the Avoid option in the menu and selected Liege.

As one drives along this route the map shows the area of Liege with a grayed out box and shows the route around it.
I have now only been able to use the Avoid option since getting the recent Satnav software update done.
Have not tried any other avoid options, but as far as I can determie, an area to be avoided must be a Stored Location.

BTW - anyone worked out how to avoid problem indicated by a traffic announcement yet?

I cannot find in the menu's an option for killing the "Dong".

In this menu you have the option to Select Area On Map (means scrolling) or From Stored Location.
I note that Liege is Stored.

The sat nav instructions ALWAYS come on just as something really interesting is on the radio......or is it just me that experiences it.

The dong now activates every time I leave my house and return - have I done something in the menu that makes it let me know I'm close to home?

Have you programmed Home as Home or are you selecting a previous destination.??

Yes, I have programmed home as home - is that why? Should I programme it as something different?

Doesn't happen on mine. Only discovered the bong after I sent and stored a destination to car

I have killed the "Dong".

Took some finding.
From the menu's select "Guidance Options".
Scroll to the bottom of the menu and select "Stored Location Notifications".
This opened up a menu with "Internet" and "Other", each had a box with a tick, removed the ticks - peace and quiet at long last.

Thanks for that. I shall be doing that to mine as it drives me potty when arriving home and leaving the property. I KNOW where I live...........it's just all the other places I find difficulty locating!
