Talking Need a V50 T5!!!!

Come on guys their must be someone on here with a manual facelift T5 R design, that wants to part with it??????

I cannot believe how thin on the ground V50 T5 actually are, I would have a far easy time searching for a V70 T5 or V70R.

I've spent nearly a year looking for a nice manual late one, with sub 80k miles and decent spec and in that time I reckon I only missed one (no sunroof though, and I do love a sunroof!). The first 6 months of that year I was looking seriously, the other 6 just keeping a regular eye out as I now have a German wagon. If I wanted a V50 T5 with 95k miles and upwards there's been a handful of quite nice ones. And for some reason C30/S40/V50 T5s are generally very low spec.

I agree, seems that these cars are becoming rarer than expected!!

Assume you have seen them, but two have been posted on Autotrader recently, neither fit the bill 100% but may be worth looking at?

I've sadly resigned myself to the fact that I doubt I'll ever have a V50 T5

The Beemer has been doing a sterling job so far and does all that I need it to, and it's got a lot of spec that I will miss if I got rid – some not offered on V50s so even a top spec V50 (unicorn) won't have all that I have.

This will be difficult as they are old cars now. They are also more likely to be used as work horses so will have high miles.

High mileage shouldnt be a put off on these either as they will rack up miles fine these engines if well looked after.

I bought my T5 just a bit over 4 years ago now I think on 43k, its now on 151k.

I have seen the 2008 one that popped up last week, must admit the colour does nothing for me, the other I assume you mean the grey one that has been for sale for months at garage on the south coast.

Its not the mechanical bits that worry me with high mileage its the wear and tear that the bodywork and interior suffer with.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-det...ice-asc&page=1

Spotted this on AutoTrader..... Manual T5 V50 R-design and seemingly top spec.
I can see from the pics it has the DynAudio premium stereo and Satnav, and Xenon headlamps.

I think you will struggle to find a better spec one than that.

Interesting that the seller calls teh vehicle "fast an economical".
Economical would be the very last word I'd chose to describe this car.
