I'm following this with interest, my 2003 rear wiper has stopped not at its normal parking position on the left, but fully on the right.
I have checked the fuse, its ok with a multimeter, on mine it appears to be fuse 12 in the rear, but not that sure, difficult to find it in Vida. No fuse 19 on my box in the rear.
Will have to look at the cables next, is there anything else it could be, i suppose there must be a parking function in the motor when the switch is turned off, is this usually a problem?

Put a fuse in slot 19 - that's where it is supposed to be on XC90 - unless it was different on a 2003 model?

There are three wires to the motor, a Black, yellow and white, Im presuming the black is earth.

Thanks John, I took the motor to pieces and cleaned the brushes, couldn't find anything else seized, lubed it all and bingo it now works. I don't like this as I didn't find a reason in the first place for it to have stopped working, fingers crossed it stays this way. Not sure why I havent got the electric section in my Vida, must be missing a file, can anybody help?
