V40 1.9d egr
Been cleaning EGR today, since its pretty beaten up I thought of replacing it, does one from Laguna/Megane 1.9dci fits on it? It's 1.9D 2003. Prices are much much lower than ones for Volvo?
Im asking since DCI engines on Renaults are 88kW and Volvo's are 85kW. Sorry if theres already been this thread. |

Not sure if I'm imagining this but I'm sure there was a similar thread but not relating specifically to the EGR, and many parts for the 1.9D are far cheaper from Renault (not always though, Volvo have been surprisingly cheap for some other parts, even cheaper than aftermarket for some stuff).
Is the original EGR Volvo stamped with their part number or Renault branded? (If at all that is). If it's the latter obviously it'll be nice and easy to identify but I'd say it's likely to be the same. Reason I say this is because I'm sure the two variants of the 1.9D that Volvo marketed (102 and 115bhp) are the same engine but mapped differently using the same parts? Someone please feel free to correct me if that's wrong, just an assumption! Said engines were used in many other vehicles such as you say the Laguna and Megane, but also Vauxhall Vivaros (and other identical vans badged by Renault and Nissan), and obviously the Mitsubishi Carisma.
