Default Cup holder solution for P2 cars.

Hi all, we've got an old nissan Navara at work, and for ages I've been looking at the handy double cup holder that sits in it's dashboard above the stereo, and thinking yeah I reckon that'll fit.

List of things you'll need.

A single din stereo,
The little cubby hole thing that sits under the radio,
A file,
A hacksaw,
A d22 nissan Navara cup holder (eBay)

First of all pop the cubby hole bit out and remove the stereo, or stereo out first, either way is fine, then you'll need to modify the cubby hole thing to take the cup holder, (it's too small for the hole on its own, which is simply a case of hacksawing the back of it off.

For this to work you'll also need to switch things around so the stereo now fits in the bottom of the double din slot instead of the top, so for this you'll need to remove the ribs on each end on the top edge of the cubby hole thing, it'll be obvious what part you need to remove as you look at it.

Then you'll notice that the 4 holes for optional screw mounting on the cup holder unit are literally 1mm too long, so quickly file them down a bit and you're done, that's it, there's a slight gap on the corners as the holder unit is dead flat and the cubby hole thing is slightly curved but it's no biggy.
