Default XC90 in car phone quick charger

Anyone have one of this quick chargers interested for iPhone in XC90.

Looks very smart , tidy with no wires.

Appreciate anyone’s opinions.

I have one in my V90. Bought about 8 months ago from AliExpress.
Works very well, but it contains a small fan which makes a slight hum when charging the phone. In cold weather the fan sometimes makes a noise for the first few seconds but soon quietens.
However, keeping the battery on charge constantly kills the battery on the iPhone 8 so I have modified mine with a small switch in the front (above the USB sockets) so I can switch the unit off (fan and charging). That way, it is a handy place to keep the phone and I can just switch it on when the phone needs charging.
That particular design (same as mine) is good because the rubber stops the phone sliding and when it is in position (without a phone on it) you can still slide the cover across.

Echo above. it's always on and the fan can sometimes be irritating.

It's 10W so on compatible Android phones, it's "fast charge"

If you want a wireless charger, it's fine. But since I use Android Auto and the phone needs to be plugged in (v newer implementation of Wireless Android Auto in BMW'S) I don't find it that useful.

I have a "magnetic" charging cable (with small adapter that plugs into USB port of phone permanently). So I don't have to fiddle with plugging the cable, just bring cable close to the phone and it automatically attracts and connects.

I wish Volvo could update Sensus to allow Wireless Android Auto. It already has the hardware, but I guess Volvo has all but abandoned this for Android Automotive which will runs on current Fully Electric cars (XC 40 and Polestar 2) and will run on new generation cars (SPA2)

Something like this

I have this charger bought from AliExpress. Charges very quickly, however, in warm weather, when my phone is connected to CarPlay via a bluetooth dongle the phone overheats and shuts down. So currently I plug-in using a cable and only use the charger for very short journeys.

Hi

I have one from Aliexpress. Works a treat.

One slight disadvantage is that if you leave the car key next to it in the cup holder the car stops 'seeing' the key. Changed a few key batteries before I realised it was some sort of EM interference.
