I think as long as you have sensus system streaming is no issue most units with nav will be sensus there are some sensus none nav versions which can have nav added by dealer

After 2015 sensus nav updates are free via usb stick (download from Volvo website) earlier units need an update from dealer (paid) to enable usb stick updates

Older units without sensus May still stream if they have luetoothh handsfree installed

I've got a 2014 2.0D4 and you can get free Sensus map updates. Easy to do with a suitable memory stick.

Music streaming is as easy as it was in my previous 2013 BMW 328i.

Check to make sure the EGR has been updated to the latest version.

If you are referring to map updates these are done via My Volvo.

Or have a look here https://www.volvocars.com/uk/support.../download-maps

He did, and was right to mention it. It's the biggest problem on the VEA (4 cylinder) range of engines!

Our 2013 XC60 SE Lux (facelift model) with standard audio (no sat-nav, smallest screen) streams music via Bluetooth with no problem.
The 5 cylinder 2.0 D4 is a lovely engine. It has less power than either version of the 2.4, but with almost the same torque and without the weight of the AWD, real world performance is quite similar at legal speeds.
