low pressure on AC
Eventually had a look at the AC system, no obvious leaks.
Checked the 'pressure-sensor' next to brake fluid tank and it appears to be open circuit when engine is off, suggesting low pressure. the hose (approx 30mm OD) at back of block can easily be squeezed by hand, tho not sure if it is on the return side or pressure side of the compressor. Can any body enlighten whether this is also the case with them? Also would be good if confirm the 'pressure-sensor' is the correct thing I was checking? The car had the ABS pump replaced so I just checked all I could see on connectors in case wires had been left off (like they did when they fitted a new seat!) Fuse and relay are both good. Alan |
