Might mess up the lights, bulb failure. Sounds like a case of "too much bovver and no money in it"
I took a few hours, lad at work about an hour for a Corsa, for the front and rear on a BMW 3 series a few hours and not a lot of hassle. Go on do it, its easy and cheap. |

I'm pretty sure I've got the kit very similar to what was mentioned at the beginning of the thread...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT Doesn't appear to be anything sinister about it... Got a warranty with it... 22mm saw bit too... That sound familiar?

I'd be more than happy to come over and help you with the install. I'll come in mine and you can see my sensors which have been fitted over 3 Months now and are still going well. PM me if you'd like to take me up pm the offer it's an easy enough job tbh.

Here are the official parking sensor installation docs for Volvo factory kits.
Might be useful for wiring advice and strip-down. Rgds Jason. http://accessories.volvocars.com/Acc...?query=parking

Bit long winded those instructions. After sales kit for £13 prepainted sounds a bargain!
Anyways, try it and see the difference. |

I spent a little bit more, £25 and made use of the existing Volvo parking sensor holes in the R design bumper I bought and retrofitted. The kit was easy to install, connecting into the reverse + wire within the light and earthed with the negative - again i nthe boot.
The little gadget speaks the distance to go which my missues found irritating but I thought was the dogs danglies and it was very very accurate - I was thoroughly impressed, litterally right by millimeters which was reassuring! J |

yes, came in black to match bumper, I will dig a photo out somewhere...
I glued (from behind) the sensors into the holes already in the bumper. Its clearer in the 2nd picture. My A5 came with them as standard so no messing around this time although I am undertaking other mods like bixenon headlights/self levelling, Sline bumpers...as Jason says here we go again- life would be boring otherwise -this is my baby in the photo.
