Volvo's Free Map Updates.

Not sure if this is going to throw a spanner in the works for some S60/V60/XC60 MY14* Sat Nav owners, but I just noticed this today:-

*Only applies to vehicles produced after w46 2013.

I think several got their new cars, near the end of 2013.

Tem,

This is when they changed to Sensus Connect therefore if you have SC you are ok, otherwise you are stuck with the DVD updates albeit with a Nav system that functions more sensibly than the SC.

Does this mean new cars get free map updates forever ? I thought the latest 'brochure mentioned 2 annual updates free.

MY13 get two free updates, MY14 with Sensus Connect get lifetime.

Excellent, thanks for that pointer, sounds good.

I've not found a good thread on the MY14 sat-nav features - does it include any traffic management updates, and does it offer several routes when you pop a destination in ?

It does have TMC and you can have it present 3 routes if you set it to do that.

Any questions on the satnav send them over, I now know this system better than Volco

What's the update procedure and time scale with SC? Any advance on five hours??
