Default 2003 XC90T6 Faulty electrics.

Hi there,
I'm new to the forum, and a new Volvo driver of a 2003 XC90 T6, but unfortunately I'm experiencing some problems with the CEM I'm presuming. On long drives, the electrical system seems to just go into a spin. It will shut down momentarily and then start up again, when I stop, and leave it off for a while, it gets to the point of not locking/unlocking, not starting, even the hazard lights don't work. Nothing works, it's all over the place, and the motor just goes click!! I discovered that if I remove the "Central Electronic Module Courtesy Light" fuse (no. 27 in the driver's side fuse compartment) and then put it back in again, the system resets itself, the vehicle will then lock/unlock and start again. With the result that a message is left with "warning srs airbag" needing urgent service.
Has anyone else had a problem like this??
Please help, any response would be highly appreciated!!

With something wierd like that I'd suspect water damage to the CEM

Do you have a sunroof?
Is the left hand from carpet damp / wet? If so, suspect a sunroof drain blockage
Have you checked that the left hand sunroof drain is clear?
Remove the cover under the CEM, observe the CEM
Do you see any water staining?

If any water damage, remove CEM, dismantle, check for corrosion
If you are lucky you can clean and dry it.
And of course fix the water leak!

Otherwise, do basic stuff like check the battery connections, remove fuses for unnecessary equipment to determine if any power issues to see if you can narrow it down a bit more.
