Replacement key fob (floppy key)
I have the standard floopy key and i have bought a new not floppy fob from e bay
Now i am only actually interested in changing the blade and latch mechanism so i assume i have 3 options 1: get a new key cut and replace the top section of the fob 2: prize the old blade out of the old fob and replace it into the new fob 3: gut the old fob and then do either of the above Questions Is there a transponder burried inside the plastic fob or is it on the green pcb board which is a fairly easy swop Can you get the key blank cut and if so where ? How easy is it to swop the key blade ? I have a spare fob from another car ( also floppy ) which i can destroy to see how it all fits together Is this likely to result in success?

Be very careful and don't make the mistake I did. The glass transponder is on the right side of the fob and I managed to smash mine when I was prising open the case. Now need to replace the whole thing costing mega bucks.
