Default Replacement key fob (floppy key)

I have the standard floopy key and i have bought a new not floppy fob from e bay

Now i am only actually interested in changing the blade and latch mechanism so i assume i have 3 options

1: get a new key cut and replace the top section of the fob

2: prize the old blade out of the old fob and replace it into the new fob

3: gut the old fob and then do either of the above

Questions

Is there a transponder burried inside the plastic fob or is it on the green pcb board which is a fairly easy swop

Can you get the key blank cut and if so where ?

How easy is it to swop the key blade ?

I have a spare fob from another car ( also floppy ) which i can destroy to see how it all fits together

Is this likely to result in success?

You will have to dig the transponder out so whilst in there change the blades, dead easy.

Be very careful and don't make the mistake I did. The glass transponder is on the right side of the fob and I managed to smash mine when I was prising open the case. Now need to replace the whole thing costing mega bucks.
