Fortunately using the drill worked, and once I'd cut a slot in the stub, was then able to undo the remains of the screw. However despite removing the linkage & cover plate etc, the lock barrel won't come out of the push button. There's nothing left that I can see that is now holding it in. Is this just a case of using penetrating oil & brute force, or is there some hidden clip? I don't have the key for this barrel, hence wanting to remove it, or is the key needed to get the barrel out?
Thanks!
