1965 Amazon 4 door saloon (former PC car)
It is with a very heavy heart that I am going to have to pass this car onto someone else to look after. The car was bought recently for my 50th birthday. The purchase was brought forward from April due to health issues to try and maximise time to fettle and have fun with the car whilst able to. Things have now changed.
Anyway, a lot of folk will be quite familiar with the car's exploits in the pages of PC magazine over the last 4 years and Keith has spent some serious coin in upgrading the car from a mechanical perspective. Keith listed the work in his previous posts but I will re-iterate the details: Bilstein shocks and lowered springs Sports exhaust (not sure of the make but the noise is by no means excessive) 4 branch manifold Electronic distributer Twin carb with sports filters Cam to suit Rolling road set up Rebuilt bottom end Cooling system flush and radiator re-core Electric radiator fan Tow bar with electrics Overdrive Tacho, and additional gauges: voltmeter and oil temp/pressure (will confirm which) Excellent tyres Halogen headlights. Since I have had the car I have had a DAB radio/CD player fitted, I have purchased but not fitted a boot seal and have also obtained a set of bumpers from Andy of this very parish to mix and match to improve what is already on the car. I have also fitted a replacement passenger seat back as the original was past it's best and was rather uncomfortable. Mechanically there is nothing to worry about with this car. The main issues are cosmetic. The O/S rear arch requires a repair and some general tidying here and there on the rest of the bodywork. Some remedial work will be required on the inner section of the A pillars. There are no leaks from the screen and everything works just dandy. Mileage is around the 80K mark (I will get the exact figure by the weekend). Photos to follow at the weekend. Price is to be fairly firm around the £3250 mark. The car and I are located in North London. The car is taxed and tested (about 10 1/2 months MOT). Please PM me if interested. Thanks Ken |

Due to the somewhat totally unexpected sale of one of my other cars and the slightly more planned sale of another, the sale of the Amazon is now not necessary and she will be staying with me after all for as long as possible. Yay.
Many thanks to those who showed interest in purchasing. Best wishes Ken |
