Default Glass cleaner!

Hi folks as the sun has actually decided to shine I just wondered if anyone knows of a glass cleaner that actually cleans glass without smearing?I have tried many in the past and halfords have SSssOoo many which ALL clean without smearing,Yeah right.
The only product which does what it says is "rain X"it makes the rain dribble off quite amazing really.I could use it to clean the glass but it does cost a bit.(I'm not tight really)

A simple one this but open to contraversy.I tried doing a search of glass cleaner but not much joy.except in the showroom section.Only thing there is the amount of replies to go through before I find the mention of glass or cleaner,But not neccesarily about window cleaning.About 300 replies to wade through on average.

Thanks all awaiting your expert advice Brian.

On the outside I just use normal wash 'n wax shampoo and use a microfibre cloth to dry the car.
For the inside I Keep a microfobre cleaning cloth in the car for cleaning the glass, just a cheap supermarket version.
When I wash the car, I go over the glass with a moist cloth and then polish with the microfibre cloth.
In-between washes I just use the cloth on it's own when necessary.
I find that no other detergents/polishes are needed.

I am using just plain windex,or some other window cleaning product, but found that the trick is in the material used for actual cleaning.Towels and rugs all smeared my window,so i use newspaper.Just newspaper and use it as a towel. Its grease free and cleans the window without smears.

Hi guys thanks for the replies and sorry I didn't respond until now but I had to go shopping!but not before going on the detailing site and after finding a product which is easily found in the local halfords store,I decided to buy some Autoglym fast glass,It cost about six quid.4 fourty I looked at the glass polish that was mentioned on the detailing site but on the instructions it said not to use on tinted windows so I wasn't sure if volvo glass is resistant to it.
I also found out the best thing about halfords today??If you park behind the shop the car is in the shade which makes the cleaning easier. After a quick going over I was very suprised at the results and with very little effort.
So if nothing else we all know ONE good thing that halfords is good for he he.
Dear stiggy if only I had read your reply but the wife was chasing me to get going up the shops, thanks though.

All I have to do now is rainex the outside and hey presto.
Thanks awfully Brian.
