Default Flooded 440 1.8ES

I just posted about my Volvo 440 ES being flooded. The water came up just below the windows. Does anyone think it would be possible to salvage or is the damage when water that deep just too much to fix.

Shtroof...
That's not good!
ECU, fuses, some relays, and a load more wiring, to the right foot well...
I'm not sure how much of it would survive, but good luck with it.
How did it happen, too?
Tom.

To be honest it sounds more bother than its worth, but it is just sickening to loose such a good low mileage example and then get offered less than the scrap value for it.

River burst its banks and council were unaware of storm drain which allowed our area to flood.

Only been offered £80 from the insurance !!! New mitchelens worth over £200

Ouch...
They're nasty people, councillors and insurance companies!
How damp/wet is it now?
My theory is, either break it, especially the tyres, sell it all separately, or, see if it will start once it's dried out as much as possible, because the worse that can happen, is it'll short out/not start, so you'd have to break/scrap it anyway.
Or spend potentialy alot or not much, replacing the not so easy to identify buggered parts.
Again, good luck with it, I feel sorry for you,
Tom

And it won't start? Dont think it would take much to wet vax the thing. Make it a challenge and get it running again.....
