Default electrical problem

hello all,
ive just purchased a late 2005 s40 1.8 sport r design.
this morning when i started it up it started throwing up loads of messages,switched on the wipers (that wouldnt turn off) and the indicators wouldnt work.
can anyone help me out with this please?

Another CEM failure. Most likely. Sorry, it will cost a lot...

you may also want to try unpluging the green connection block behind the radio display and then plug it back in. You can get to it by removing the cover that is infront(engine side) of the waterfall.

Also are you sure the indicators weren't working, they could have been working but not making any noise and not flashing in the display.

im not sure because i was driving.
ive plugged it into the scanner and the only fault that came up was "ambient air temperature"
we also reset the service indicators.
the car has been absolutley fine today and it was yesterday.
ive a feeling that this problem may come back when it rains. i think its water getting into the cem.

Have a good look around the engine bay wiring loom for rubbing through , especialy around the gearbox area and take out the right hand headlamp check the wiring loom where it passes over the lip of the chassis and the AC pipe ferrules, they have sharp edges which can rub and short wires in the loom , just pulling the loom and moving it an inch can be a cure .

is that the drivers side headlamp?
i need to change the sidelight bulb in the o/s one.
the horns arent working either. could maybe be part of the same problem.
tbh the car hasnt done it since. its been ok.
