that odometer has been tampered with , see how the numbers don't all line up ... they sometimes slope down like that after going through a 10000 interval with lots of zeros but they straighten out shortly after .. anyway , a smashing car!

I think it is the angle.

Checked the most history and I am pretty sure the mileage is genuine.

It doesnt really matter at that price , a nice car .. 28 years is a long time , it could have done over 200000 even with lower than average mileage . On the other hand the speedo could have packed up and someone corrected the mileage on a second hand replacement ... but it certainly has been tampered with . I bought a similar car with 54000 2 years ago and i have had the odometer drive pin slide out twice now , firstly i tried a second hand speedo which i corrected the mileage on and the same sloped numbers , the same happens on old smiths speedos too , no idea why .. i fitted a stop screw that seems to have fixed it for now !
