I will get mine on the ramp on Monday and find out as I'm curious myself.

Its getting broken up. fan and brakes all good now but engine was running fine when it started spluttering and popping. I suspect it has a timing issue and I cant be arsed with it so its life ended today. All I want is the gearbox which I`ll remove later this week.

Dave,

I think you spoke to soon lol! Unfortunately, tailgate on this one has some corrosion as you can see....

Like i said Kev - snowballs, hell etc! Granted that's better than mine, apparently it was hit by a low flying trampoline during Storm Barney, leaving a dent that was inexpertly filled with splodges of P38 or similar. However, that's the only blemish on the tailgate so swings and roundabouts.

Finding a good one is still not easy though!

I finally got my car on the ramp yesterday, it does appear that the bell housing on the AW71 is separate to the gearbox. In the photo below you can see towards the top there is a bolt hole and one below, I think this is to join the two together. Gearbox is on the right and the bell housing is on the left.

The bellhousing is separate. The aw70 was used in many cars. On the 760 front, it was pointed out there was no petrol in the car. A gallon saw it fire back up and run sweetly again, the fan I can overcome with a rheostat and operate it that way, the ABS is the only sticking point now. the car is not dead yet
