Default S60 D5 - Driveshaft Removal, Loss of Oil?

Morning all

Just a quick one. Replacing the O/S outer CV boot today on my 06 S60 D5 manual. Just wondering when I remove the shaft from the box will I loose gearbox oil? A mate did it on his auto and said nothing came out, just wondering if it's the same with the manual box?

Cheers, Jack.

Didn’t have a drip out of my D5 manual when I changed the OS driveshaft.

Maybe a tablespoon but nothing to worry about. When refitting, push it real hard from the inner joint, don't tap on the shaft.
