I ordered a full service kit and wipers a few weeks ago on the internet from euro car parts and my order was acknowledged with the promise of next day contact. I even received an e-mail confirming my order.

Imagine my dismay at having received no contact since then.

The point being, why the hell would free postage be of any use if they have no intention of sending your order anyway.

I have ordered a lot of parts mail order from ECP without a problem. Since they opened a shop in Newcastle I have always bought there instead though. I always prefer to see and check before paying for an item but if you live too far from a point of sale this isnt an option.
I'm sure they use a courier and they should be able to track your goods.

if your worried about being done over ordering online NEVER use www.ebuyer.com, they are 150% useless!!!

you can't email them, phone them, write to them and the only way of getting in contact is to use there enote system which is useless, more so as they never reply to anyone!!!

i know its not car related but i needed to let you guys know, i ordered 6k worth of it equipment from them for next day delivery and it turned up a week late and to the wrong address and every item was in stock...USELESS!!!

i cannot comment on gsf but are you really sure about ecp?

Quite simply i will never use them or have any of their stock on my premises.

I prefer my customers to use good quality parts and not cheap junk that you have to struggle to get replaced under the warranty.

I have a no quibble warranty for 3 months on all my used or new parts. some new have 12 months. I cannot afford to keep replacing the same item week in week out when pure crap is supplied to me.

Cheap parts are all well and good or are they?????

the parts ecp and gsf sell are not to the best of my knowledge "cheap junk" but they are a lot cheaper than certain suppliers!, they are normally sourced from original equipment suppliers ie bosch, lendorfer, ate, bilstien, sachs etc etc if they are not they specify this and list it as a "replacement" part, as long as you specify oem parts you cannot really go wrong, unless you know different of course if you do, please do us a favour and produce your evidence, (otherwise the more cynical amongst us may assume you perhaps have an axe to grind) however it would be interesting to hear gsf or ecp,s view on this, as i said i have had many items from both companies and never have i been disappointed with either the quality or the cost

I'll produce you some evidence, then...

I order an electrical component from eurocarparts - it was an oem one. It arrived quickly - next day, I think. And it was an original Volvo part too.

But the Volvo bag it was in was grubby and already opened - and the part doesn't look as clean as it should, and the contacts show marks.

According to them, they don't sell used parts, and only sell new ones - curious, that.

I complained over the phone, just to be patronised, and condescended to. I've emailed and written a snail mail letter, wanting return details, but no reply to either, yet. There's no way I'm paying for a new part that's already been used, and doesn't look pristine in an unsealed bag - and there's no way I'm having to foot the bill for returning it.

I've ordered stuff from gsf before, and not had any problems.
