V70s in black - resale problems due to colour scheme.
Anyone care to comment on the V70 resale problems of certain colours. I know whites in any car are meant to be hard to shift. What about black?

I think resale of V70s (at least T5s and Rs) seems difficult just now irrespective of colour. Silver is probably a safe bet - silver estates have always been popular.

Why are V70s sales suffering at the moment? I thought they were good cars.

its not just v70's its volvos in general, they've never held there values that well in fact its really only newer volvos like the xc90 and s60 diesels that are holding there values, in fact the xc90 has a 6 month waiting list on it!!!
the volvo slogan "volvo for life" translates that once you've bought one your stuck with it because no one will offer you what you want for it ;) they're still great cars and much better than merc, bm's & audis, i've had one for the last 6 years and would buy another but i'll make sure i keep it a while, makes the depreciation more bearable ;) |

Yes agree with that one, the depreciation is eye watering even on the D5. I have a 850 Tdi that was £25K in 1997, £6K in 2000 and worth about £1500 now, but still drives 700 miles a week.
