Connected Safety

I had my first service last week and the software was updated, so I now see the new Stop/Start icon and Dynamic Drive Mode is now Polestar Engineered.

However, I have a question for those that have Connected Safety. If you select On, is it normal to have to keep turning it on, every time the car is started?

Unlike the other safety functions, like Distance Alert, that if turned on, stay on the next time you get in, Connected Safety has to be turned on each time.

Has anyone with Connected Safety had any warnings of a hazard ahead?

I should get these latest updates when car goes in for Annual Service, early October, but wondered if enough cars/trucks were now passing on information.

Mine stays on all the time. Not had any warnings yet but doubt many other cars have this yet and then you need something happening for it to activate a warning so it may never work in anger.

Thanks for your replies.

It seems that it has to be set in the settings section, not just on the button bit of Sensus.

Saved to my profile and it now stays on.

I haven't had any warnings either and did wonder is it only picking up data from other Volvos or other brands as well?

Just other Volvos

Don't forget it requires wifi data as well to work so if car not connected it will not work.
