Default 2013 S80 D5 215hp EGR cleaning

Hi all,

Can anyone detail where the EGR valve is on my D5, how easay it is to remove and clean. I am comfortable, to a certain degree with minor dismantling, but if you tell me I have to rmeove almost everything from the top of the engine ill say no, but to start with I have to know where the actual EGR is, and so far I have not found anyone doing it on my D5 engine design

Hello

I have the same engine as you but have yet to remove the EGR, having only needed to clean the throttle housing and the egr valve within it. Crud builds up on the shaft and can stop it opening or closing.

Here is a rear view of our engine.

Top left is a corrugated metal pipe that comes from the EGR to give you an idea where it is.
