Default V70 D3 Cylinder head

Can anybody help me. I require a cylinder head for my 2013 V70 D3. The engine code is D5204T7 and the head has the number 30777365 on the casting. Volvo have told me that the Part No is 36010025 which was a new number for the original part number of 30777363.
Several people have told me that the same head was fitted to some D4 and D5 engines but I do not know if this is correct.
Any help would be appreciated in finding this part.

It seems the same head is used on:

S40/V50/C70/C30 2011 and later with engines:
D5204T T3 or T5

S60 / S80 from 2010 with engines:

D5204T T2 T3 T7

D5244T T10 T11 T15 T23

New V40 2013 on

D5204T4 T6

V60

D5204T2 T3 T7

D5244T11 T15 T17

And the list goes on . so it seems you can use any 5 cylinder diesel Head from 2010 and later from most of the models except old xc 90 ie they must have an engine mount bracket on the head near the top of the cambelt ..

Default Volvo Penta cylinder head?

Hi, sorry to hijack your post but I'm in a similar position! I have a 2012 D3 220HP, 2.0ltr, 5 cyl boat engine. My head has failed due to a failed timing belt tensioner. My cylinder head number is 3801383 but I feel loads of different car cyl head part numbers must also fit? Volvo want £2500 for a recon one!. Thanks, Jason

It cant be a D3 if it is 220 bhp that's D5 in volvos power rating designations , Do boat engines get serviced by penta dealers , They must have the same recalls etc I guess .. your 2012 would certainly have had one due ..
Your head number does not exist , Penta part numbers must be different to cars due to Marinisation ..

I read about the 2.4 engines being called d3 in boats as their was bigger engines available in the ranges, as far as I'm aware a boat d3 is the equivalent of the car d5, and read one thread where a guy used an xc90 head on his boat with no issues.
Pity I can't find one to suit my d3 v70

I thought the number after the D was how many cylinders there were!
Like the T5 had 5 etc....
What does the number mean?

not any longer , since about 2010 it has been a power range:
Power does vary up or down a little depending on the Model fitted to .
D2 = 120 bhp
D3= 150 bhp
D4 = 190 bhp
D5 = 205 +++ bhp
D6 = D5 = Electric motor 300 bhp
petrol the same T2 = 120 bhp etc
T6 = 320 bhp
T8 = T6 with electric motor 400+ bhp

Default 2012 V60 D3 136bhp

Hi, sorry for also hijacking this thread, however I thought my question was still relevant to this issue.

Im also in a similar situation. I have a 2012 V60 2.0l D3 136bhp R-Design.
The timing belt slipped and long story short, im needing a replacement Cylinder Head.

The car has been in the garage since 6th Jan 2019, it is quite a distance from my house so I keep ringing for updates.
The garage owner keeps telling me they are struggling to find a replacement cylinder head. He said he wasn't sure if he could use heads from different models and has already had to send one back.
I said I would try and have a look myself as im getting a bit desperate for my car back now but I am also struggling to find this information.

So I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction please?

Engine code is D5204T7 - (I5 VD5)
Part number is 30777365

Are there any other models that use this same cylinder head?

Thanks
Steve.

Note; Think my question has already been answered earlier in the post - unable to delete this though. sorry.

where did you get the part number from?
The D5204T7 is only available in the 2013 V60 .
The head for that is part 36002661 which is the exchange part number for the original head part number 30777363

A VIN is the only way to determine the correct part number and there are usually a lot of other parameters needed such as engine number .

If the head you need is 30777363 then there are many 5 cylinder diesels from the model range which will be suitable , most from 2008 to 2014 in 2 litre or 2.4 litre form .
