V40 folding mirrors query

Hi

Thinking about buying a V40, maybe a 2014 model. I currently drive an old S80 and have to manually fold my mirrors in to get my car into the garage.

So, my questions is, can you fold the mirrors in from inside the car whilst still driving forward and can you stop them automatically folding out at engine start?

It depends on the specification. SE, SE Lux and I think R Design have power folding door mirrors and you can fold the mirrors in or out by pressing the left and right mirror buttons together. You should be able to go into the menu to turn off the setting for the mirrors to fold in or out automatically when the car is locked/unlocked.

I have the 2017 model and if you turn off 'Auto fold' and manually close the mirrors then they stay closed until you manually open then again. I tried driving in both forward and reverse as well and they still stayed closed.
